# What's this? --- 2026-02-05 ## Little bits of my life I'm not really to fond of sharing of my life, so you won't see much on here, but insight helps as to why I see and do things here differently than others. It'll definitely help with showing who I am. As of now, i'm 26, and in the United States. Grew up most of life here and only been to a hand-full of states. In my life I've had plenty of work experience in different fields, most notably customer service, medical, and whatever you call solider stuff. I'm optimistic by nature but I tend to seek logic in most matters, whether that be career, finance and life. I believe you have to be hard-working in most matters, and it has to be meaningful to you if you want any sense of purpose from it. I'm a hard working individual but to be hard-working just to be, won't always help without direction. It has to be meaningful and towards a goal. I think of this idea the same way you would approach the concept of *Desired Difficulty* in learning. You can't just choose a subject because of it's strenuous applications and learning curve. The material has to be chosen by you with meaningful intent. The results just won't show if it ain't the case.. ## Goals I plan to write about my learning experiences with networking, cybersecurity and python programming. I'm a novice in these fields but through this blog, I hope to see my progress, hopefully one day look back and reflect on it. Below I just want to show a bit my determination but showing a lit bit of my own short term goals. A short list of short term goals lol. - Get a good foundation with python networking scripts - a 2 blog post a month (more is better tho!) - CCNA (working towards this at the moment!) - Better understanding of VMs - Finish 3 books in 3 months Now i say short term because, I do have long term goals but until I meet these goals, I want my progress to be significant. I believe it's best to tackle them in earnest. ## Hobbies I was really into soccer in my younger age but I have grown out of it. At this point in my life, I spend a lot of time in the gym or work. Usually 4-5 days with weights and cardio if I have time. I enjoy running in the park, something about the outdoors feels better. Another hobby of mine is reading, it took it more seriously because I disliked it but a psychology college and it's professor really changed a lot for me in terms of insight. I disliked it because it was hard, so the simple answer is to get better by doing it. So fast forward some time later I've finished a handful of books and audiobooks, but I want to be more diligent with my reading. I enjoy philosophy, history, and books about computers. I have gotten into Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series but I'm finishing that at my own time. Maybe I could talk about them? Unsure. ## Leftover pasta I will probably put more information (or update this) in the future but for now this is a good portion of myself that I would like to share. It's also important to note, I have no experience in this format of writing so if my grammar is incorrect, my rhetoric is redundant, I apologize. I am trying and that's what matters. Thanks again for checking it out and thank you Ed for starting. -Ed #Personal
